Anger that holds the things longer...!
(Good)Bye
Just sharing the thoughts that struck me hard when i watched this movie @GoodBye on Netflix.
This movie is about the family members ,who bid their mother adieu. It shows how the sudden demise of a woman(Gayathri) who has been playing many roles(a daughter, a wife, an aunt, a mother, a grand mom, a friend)has shattered the family especially her spouse(Amitabh Bachchan (Harish in this movie)sir has done it so well).
Yes, it is a loss of mother for her children who has settled in different places and has their partners to take care of ,their own jobs etc..that they can move on in life soon.
But her husband (the partner of life) could not.In this movie, they have shown the real feelings of an old man who does not know what to do from the very moment of her wife's demise.
He could not proceed further literally after that because it was that lady who took care of everything.
He reminiscences their past and opens up for the first time to their children who were all getting ready for their return to the countries. They started to share the best time they had with their mother.Towards the end, one of the sons (who was very close to his mom)who with Gayathri had planned a surprise trip as a gift for his dad's birthday came late to the spot without knowing that Gayathri was no more.
His search of his mom and the birthday celebrations organised by Gayathri in parallel was very heartbreaking.
The scenes where they realise that their mother is no more make a heart of stone to melt.
Soon they regretted for denying calls, texts from their mom and now they cannot get back those moments.
Nobody realises that each and every small moments with our closed ones are important until they become memories. Time teaches us.
Yes, we come across many moments of denial, frustration, ignorance, denial with our family, friends but should not last longer and can be forgiven soon.It is just anger that holds these things longer, but by the time we understand ,it might be too late to convey them.
Life is too short ..so lets share kindness in abundance..
